There are so many opportunities and so much demand for child models in the industry at the moment and there are a surprising number of agencies that specialise in this field, so now really is the time to consider your child’s future in modelling.
Getting a child signed up to a modelling agency is fairly easy, probably the easiest of all the modelling categories. When it comes to child modelling there are no real restrictions on what a child can and can’t model as the key is not that the child is good looking but rather that they fit a certain look or compliment a particular brief that the creative team are after and that they work well in front of the camera.
Jobs are almost always commercial and can range from clothing catalogues and holiday brochures to television adverts and campaigns.
There are laws regarding child modelling in the UK to protect you and your child and you should be aware of them before you begin. Your child will also require a license and will be limited to the amount of hours they can work but all good agencies will be able to advise you correctly as and when necessary. It’s also important to note that parents or guardians legally have to accompany children on all shoots.
